Flavour N’abania Biography

Shifting our focus to the “Ijele” Crooner and High-life musician himself “Flavour N’abania”. Chinedu Okoli popularly known with the stage name Flavour N’abania or simply Flavour is a Nigerian High-Life singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and performer. He began his musical career as a drummer in a local church. With his debut single “Nwa baby” (Ashawo remix), flavour who is currently signed to 2nite Entertainment has released hit tracks back to back. With albums like N’abania (2005), Uplifted (2010) Blessed (2012) Thankful (2014) and Ijele the traveller (2017) flavour has proved himself as a trailblazing artiste. 1.IJELE

This is a song from his 2017 album “Ijele the Traveler”. The song features Nigerian Igbo indigenous Rapper Zoro. Ijele which is the 14th track off the “Ijele the Traveller album” saw the Enugu-raised artist manage to combine flesh and faith on this single song. Flavour Accompanied the production with delicate strings, sleepy drums which might inspire you to end up waving your hands as though you are in church. Zoro and Flavour did well in driving home the lyrics with a visual which was directed by Tchidi Chikere featuring a large crowd in a kind of celebratory mood with catchy Igbo dancers. 2. CRAZY LOVE

This is a song which featured vocals from Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade also known as “Mama Africa”. This two artiste combined their amazing sonorous skills to drop another sizzling hit track. This song showed how crazy one feels about their lover and was adorned with beautiful visuals where both artiste displayed their dancing skills. This is indeed a hit. Check it out

3. ADA ADA

This is a song from Flavour’s “Blessed” Album and the most played song at Nigerian wedding parties. The song which has gone on to receive various awards  showcases the beauty of Africa and particularly African women. It was accompanied with an amazing visual which featured Nigerian actor John Okafor (Mr Ibu) and reality TV star Uti Nwachukwu. The music video later went on to win the Best High life Video in the Nigerian music Video Awards. Till today we just can’t get enough of the hit “Ada Ada”. Check it out.

4.TIME TO PARTY

This is a song which features East African Singer Diamond Platnumz. This coming after they released the “low waist” singles together a year before. This song has proven to be the most energetic song ever produced by Flavour.  “Time To Party” is a particularly party-friendly bop, which is sure to get you on your feet from the second it starts playing right through to the end. Diamond’s vocals and Flavour’s expertise did a good job in making the song a hit. Check it out.

5.OYI  (REMIX)

This song featured powerful vocals from Nigerian Songstress and Ex Marvin queen Tiwa Savage. Oyi which also means “catching a cold’ is a love song, about two lovers missing each other. Although this is a remix , the original version of the song was released on June 22, 2011, which appeared in the second studio album of Flavour titled “Uplifted” in 2010. The song was accompanied with a powerful visual which featured Flavour and Tiwa having a cozy moment together. Oyi” (Remix) was nominated for Best R&B Single at the Headies 2011 and the music video for the song won the Best R&B Video award at the Channel O Music Video Awards in 2012. Check it out.

6. MERCY

The song by Nigerian High Life veteran, Flavour features his Liberian visually-impaired friend and adopted son ,Semah G.Weifur. Specifically, Flavour and Semah renders a wonderful number where they plead for God’s mercy upon their lives. The song was done with Semah who he brought to the spotlight with the hit song “Most High” for the TIS Foundation. The song ‘MERCY‘ was produced by certified producer Masterkraft. With an inspirational video also released to accompany it, the song was surely a hit. Check it out.

7. SOMEONE LIKE YOU

This song tells a love tale and is sure to be a lovers favorite. The 2nite Music Head honcho really came through with a sweet tune on this song. Flavour with the ability to switch genres effortlessly drove the lyric of the song home with an amazing visual. With lyrics like “I’ll be missing, i’ll be loving, Always caring for someone like you” this is sure a hit track. Check it out.

8. OLOLUFE

 This song featured vocals from beautiful Nigerian Singer Chidinma also known as Miss Kedike. This two artiste who have been rumored to be in a hot relationship teamed up on this beautiful track. With powerful vocals they talked about Love and accompanied it with a lovely visual which was shot in Cape Town South Africa and directed by Goodfather products. This hit song is sure to make you fall in love. Check it out.

9. BABY NA YOKA

This is a song under his “Ijele the Traveler” album released in 2017. The song spoke about the beauty of a woman which is her waist. “Baby Na Yoka” is the first video off  his Ijele album and is a palette of bright colours, the sunny outdoors and of course Nigerian High life Singer Flavour’s whining his waist. “Baby Na Yoka” is as typically Flavour as any song can get, given that we’re all aware the only thing Mr N’abania likes more than making food related analogies of beauty, is coming up with a multiplex of ways to describe the female body. 10. AWELE

This song by Nigerian highlife king,Flavour features raving high-life duo,Umu Obiligbo. The song served as an extended insight of a stage play which also had the same title “awele”.Umu Obiligbo the South-East king was brought to the limelite of the music industry by a 4-tracks EP which they dropped earlier. Flavour and Umu Obiligbo digs deep into reality on this song. Awele is produced by Chinedu Okoli and video directed by Adasa Cookey. Check it out
