Anyone know who’s been to or live in SA knows how much we do not joke with our Gospel music. It is as much a part of us as music itself is part of our culture. Over the years, the genre has grown boundless with new artistes and singers emerging by the day, and it has been incredible to see.
Amazing new Gospel songs have hit the airwaves and have even been made into daily worship and praise songs. We couldn’t ask for any better artistes and singers than we have already.

Dr. Rebecca Malope
This is certainly one of the most respected Gospel artistes in all of Mzansi and Africa. With a career spanning over three successful decades, Dr. Rebecca is credited to have sold not less than 10 million album all over the world and in SA. She is regarded as the African Queen of Gospel which she most certainly deserves. She is best known for songs including “Look At Me Lord”, “Why Me Lord”, “Uthando Lwami”, “Ngibe Muhle Nam”, and so on.

If anyone has lived a beautiful life doing Gospel music, then it is this man. He has made us and Africa proud with his amazing music, and even with his refreshing ministrations. He is currently the pastor of High Praise Centre and is credited to have released a lot of successful albums. Some of his biggest songs include, “Elshadai Medley”, “Yebo Linamandla” and “Ngiyakuthanda”.
Winnie Mashaba has surely come a very long way in the Gospel music industry in SA. She began her career many years back after dropping out of school to pursue music. She went on to release her debut album, “Exodus 20” in year 2000. It became very successful. She has won many awards and is best known for songs including “Go Tseba Jehova”, “Dula Lenna”, “Soul To Soul”, “Nthapelele”, “Dumelang”, and more.
If Gospel music had a new face, then it would be that of this 28 year old minister. All through his amazing ministry, he has dropped songs that have refreshed the soul and equally taken him around the world. SGC is definitely the pride of Mzansi. The pitch perfect Gospel group has broken down barriers and gone far to become some of the biggest Gospel groups in all of Africa and the world. Joyous Celebration will always be one group SA is proud that they exist. The group, led by Lindelani Mkhize has dropped so many albums and released lots of successful music over the course of their successful career. Dr Tumi has surely had a successful career in the Mzansi Gospel music scene. Since he hit the scene years back, he’s released beautiful music, and ministered at some of the biggest Gospel music concerts in all of Africa. He is best known for songs including “Nothing Without You”, “You Are Here”, “Wafika”, “Someone Like Me”, “No Other God”, and so on.
If you know her music well, then you know how honest and true her lyrics are. The very successful Gospel and RnB singer has always been open about her many struggles in life and has poured her emotions and pain into her heartfelt music. Starting out by honing his talent as a young boy, Neville D learnt how to play the guitar and the piano. He has since grown to be one of the most sort after Gospel artistes in all of Mzansi. He’s best known for songs including “Nobody Like Jesus”, “The Sun Will Shine Again”, “Our God Is Awesome”, and many more.
Solly is a very well respected Gospel artiste in all of Mzansi. The popular vocalist has made the country proud with many songs which have refused to leave the walls of churches all over Africa. He’s best known for songs including “Lion of Judah”, “Siyabonga Jesu”, “Obrigado”, “Praise Him In An African Way”, “Ngibambe”, and more.
Born and raised in a small township of Inanda in KZN. Coming from a disadvantaged background, SbuNoah was motivated, especially by his high school teacher who saw potential in him, to get an education and make a difference in the lives of those around him and those he could reach. He unfortunately could not reach the educational heights we wanted to reach, he decided to follow the Gospel path in order to make the difference. Popularly know as a member of the Joyous Celebration choir project, he is also a solo singer who has dished out some of the biggest gospel tracks in South Africa. Some of his songs includes Ewe Getsemane, Zundikhaphe, Medley Ka Ma.
