It’s a fun moment as South Africa’s Scorpion Kings link up with their pal Tresor for a new song titled “Funu,” which you can stream here on UbeToo.
Scorpion Kings is the name of the disc jockeys and DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small. The name is taken from their collaborative project of the same title. Tresor is a solo artiste and one of the notable voices in South African music.
DJ Maphorisa was once the go-to DJ in the world of gqom. But the lure of amapiano was way too strong. Along the line, he linked up with Kabza De Small. The two have become inseparable since.
The result of their linking up is a regular storm of hit projects. Beside their Scorpion Kings title, they’re also known as Piano Kings, in reference to their intimidating work in amapiano.
Although not an intimidating work, “Funu” will surely excite lovers of the Piano Kings and their works. It is worth checking out, so go ahead and embrace it.
