It’s a season of good news for radio presenter Anele Mdoda as she snapped multiple wins at the Best of Joburg Awards 2021.
Anele Mdoda has been in the news multiple times for what many would consider wrong reasons – her insolent treatment of the American singer Kelly Rowland. Anele Mdoda had no qualms describing Kelly as the ugly girl of the Destiny’s Child squad.
For this, she had been roasted online by fellow South Africans. And when Americans realized she was insulting their idol, they shredded her online as well. Now, whenever Kelly Rowland shares a picture, Anele Mdoda trends.
Well, it looks like the dust has settled over the Kelly Rowland controversy and Anele is out scooping awards for fun. At the Best of Joburg Awards 2021, she was honored with the Best Radio Personality of the Year award. The show she anchors on 947, Anele and the Club, was also honored with an award at the event. The station was honored at the same event, in the Best Radio Station category.
