Podcast and Chill With MacG host MacG has clarified that he didn’t feel preyed on when, back in 2015, during a podcast appearance when he claimed to have been broke and depressed, Somizi had stated he had a crush on him and should have pounced on him then, when MacG was vulnerable.
The old video of the pair’s conversation popped online recently, leading to outrage among members of the public, some of whom described the Idols SA judge’s actions as predatory.
The reappearance of the video was especially embarrassing for Somizi because it popped online at a time he was still under serious public scrutiny following allegations by ex-husband Mohale Motaung that Somizi assaulted and threatened him with a knife when they were married.
Anyway, in the latest episode of his podcast, which you can check out at the end of this post, MacG addressed the controversy surrounding the video, explaining that he didn’t feel preyed on at the time. His clarification has not stopped the public from criticizing Somizi, though.
