Makhadzi celebrates as her previous album “Kokovha” is certified gold.
Mzansi singer and songwriter, Makhadzi has added a new milestone to her book of records. She recently took to Twitter to announce that her previous album “Kokovha” has been certified Gold. She also revealed that it is the first album by a female South African artist to reach this status in albums only, and not singles.
Fans have since taken to the tweet’s comments section to congratulate on the new achievement. Recall that Makhadzi’s album was revealed to be the most streamed album released this year on Apple Music by a female South African artist.
The album features the hit songs “Murahu”, “Sugar Sugar”, “Red Card”, “Battery”, “Kokovha”, and more. It also features contributions from Mr Brown, Prince Benza, Sho Madjozi, Jah Prayzah, Team Mosha, Gigi Lamayne, and more. Makhadzi’s new album “African Queen” has also been a success since it was released. Congrats to her.
