Makhadzi hits a new milestone as “Kokovha” becomes the most streamed female album released in 2021.
She may not get all the recognition she believes she deserves but Makhadzi is definitely killing it. The talented singer and performer’s latest album “Kokovha” has been announced as the most streamed female album released on Apple Music this year.
The announcement was made after Apple Music launched the Visionary Women Campaign to celebrate women in Music and their achievement for women’s month. Makhadzi really did earn a spot as one of the women breaking boundaries in the SA music industry. She was listed alongside Lady Du, DBN Gogo, Elaine and Shekhinah as the most streamed female artistes in the country.
Reacting to it, the “Ghanama” star revealed that it is a good thing looking at where she started from. She believes people fell in love with her melodies because she always performs what is happening in them. Congrats to her.
