Megan Ryte Denounced For Copying DJ Lag in Her Culture Video

United States disc jockey DJ Megan Ryte has been severely criticized following the release of the music video of her  song “Culture” in collaboration with will.i.am and A$AP Ferg.

Fans who had watched the video denounced it for copying aspects of her “Culture” song from the South African disc jockey and producer DJ Lag’s 2016 hit “Ice Drop.”

The condemnation of her “Culture” track is particularly intense on social media. The video, which premiered on YouTube, has been viewed over 2 million times. At the time of writing this post, the likes for the video stand at 1.1k while the dislikes stand at 18k – not fine numbers for an artiste.

The prevailing opinion is that the dislike is way higher because the songstress copied DJ Lag but stubbornly refused to credit him according.

Although DJ Megan Ryte is yet to comment on the criticism of her “Culture” song as a copy of DJ Lag’s work, the South African DJ has released a laconic statement on Twitter, while sharing DJ Megan Ryte’s “Culture” tweet.

Do you think DJ Megan Ryte copied DJ Lag as being alleged? You might want to listen to both songs below and join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section.
