With this certification, he joins an elite list of artistes who have managed to reach the platinum mark in their careers.
An excited Mnqobi Yazo had taken to Instagram to share how grateful he was to have reached this point in his career. In one of the slides he shared, he could be seen showing off his plaque. In others, he’s seen receiving the plaque.

Mnqobi Yazo released “Impi,” a 20-track compilation on October 30, 2020. The compilation featured Nobuhle, Musiholiq, and Shwi Nomthekhala. The guests might have been few for a compilation of that length, but ultimately the power in that body of work has asserted itself, leading to the certification Mnqobi Yazo is currently celebrating.
Hopefully, this leads to even more wins in the songster’s career. Mnqobi might be a maskandi artiste but he’s also into afro-pop. Some solidarity.
