It’s one win after the other for BET Award-winning singer Sjava. The songster has just reached a career milestone with his “Umsebenzi” EP. That body of work has been streamed 5 million times across digital platforms ( read as Deexer, YouTube, BoomPlay, Aplle Music, Spotify and Audiomack).
An excited Sjava, through 1020 Cartel,a record label he founded with his pal Ruff, shared the news on his achievement with Instagram followers, indicating how grateful he was for the support that made him achieve that milestone in his career.
“Umsebenzi” EP was a 4-track project with no guests whatsoever. The compilation, which plays for exactly 17 minutes, was a surprise drop that ended Sjava’s hiatus. It popped on Apple Music and other digital platform on 4 December 2020.
By the way, the album was ahit with many on release. Interest init waned briefly. But then interest surged again, pushing the album to the No. 1 spot on the album’s chart in South Africa, indirectly highlighting Sjava’s appeal as a musician and his musical influence in the rainbow Nation
