Tumi Molekane, the South African lyricist who goes by the stage name of Stogie T, has long being associated with the Hennessy brand, and as part of the old guard in South African music, he expects to be treated in a special way.
It appears “The Empire of Sheep” muso is unimpressed with his latest treatment by the alcohol brand. He made that clear in a recent tweet with a comic pitch to it.
Stogie is said to have become an ambassador for the Hennessy following the work he did with Slikour on Verse Of The Month/ Year (VOTY/Y), an initiative that celebrates rappers and their best verses.
The partnership strengthened to a point where he receives bottle of Hennessy from time to time. There was no complaint about the bottles he had received until days ago, when the brand sent him a bottle of VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale).
On finding that Maajor League, a South African band of two, had received a bottle of XO (Extra Old), Stogie T complained humorously in a tweet which you can read below.
