South African dancer and entertainer Zodwa Wabantu has reportedly cut down her booking fee, leading to speculations that she might be facing a financial crisis.
The controversial entertainment personality was in the news recently for collecting money for a performance but failing to show up for the second time. Her action had so provoked the show promoter that he accused her of theft and reported her to the police.
Reports about the dancer hitting hard times have been flying about for a while, but she has only just decided to address them. According to her, she is not down and out as some people claim. She admitted that indeed people are facing hard times out there and her lowering her fees has to do with her understanding of the situation on the ground.
She also gave some insight into her person, noting that she does not wear makeup or weaves and she is not a flashy person. All she makes are used for the right things, including investments. Whether people would buy her clarification is something we cannot say.
