Ntombi Ngcobo Mzolo is a South African actress, singer, and television personality. From a young age, Ntombi was exposed to celebrity culture. Her father was a popular musical artist known as Bheki Ngcobo, and his career influenced her and her siblings. She decided to follow the same path as her parents (her mother is also a musician). With her siblings Nathi, Jabulani Ngcobo, and Vusiwe Ngcobo, she founded the Maskandi music group Amaponi.

Ntombi Mzolo is the daughter of Maskandi musicians Bheki Ngcobo (also known by his stage name Ihashi Elimhlophe) and Linah “Ebony” Khama. Ntombi made his acting debut when he was cast as Ndukuzakhe in the Mzanzi Magic period drama series Ifalakhe.

“So they asked us to put together a demo. They didn’t even give us any equipment to put it together. So we used a recorder, remember those? Yes, we put in a tape, and we started recording in a little stereo.”
“Our parents sent our demo to a couple of record companies, and one company said they were not sure if there was a market for young guys but were willing to give us a try.”
