Babes Wodumo Accepts Tha Simelane’s “I Was Emotional” Apology

Sometimes interviews take some unbeautiful turns, leaving those who had caused offence no option but to apologize.

This is the recent reality of KwaMamkhize reality show personality Tha Simelane during his interview with the “”Gqom Queen.”

In the interview, Babes Wodumo, easily one of the most controversial figures in South African music, had spoken about the stress she was facing in her career and her struggles to take care of her family. It was an emotional moment for her and she literally cried.

She said the she was facing several challenges and had to start afresh, but people were busy judging her without knowledge of the situation she was in.

The interview took an embarrassing turn when  KwaMamkhize reality alleged that the songstress was using cocaine. That revelation drew severe backlash from the public and Tha Simelane had to apologize.

In a statement, he said he was emotional at the time and it was never his intention to cause any malicious damage to Babes Wodumo’s brand. It was to have been a fun and vibrant interview but it “ended in tears,” according to him.

Daily Sun reports that Babes Wodumo has accepted the apology.

It remains to be seen how the two navigate their relationship after this.
